New Partnership: p/v Cape Gr...

E&E Foods and a group of Alaska fishermen have formed a new partnership to purchase and operate the at-sea processing vessel Cape Greig. With a dedicated and experienced fleet continuously filling the Cape Greig's 800,000 lb. capacity, E&E Foods will expand its consistent access to the highest quality fish.

To complete the sea-to-customer process, E&E Foods is also partnered in the freighter Seabird which delivers 1.2 million pounds of finished product to various distribution points. By not having to rely on tramper transport services, E&E Foods is able to get our product to our customers faster.

Specializing in processing salmon, p/v Cape Greig begins her season with wild Sockeye from the Ugashik River in Bristol Bay, Alaska home of the largest and best managed Sockeye Salmon fishery in the world. The vessel then travels to the abundant, glacier-fed waters of Prince William Sound for wild Pink Salmon. The Cape Grieg is Marine Stewardship Council certified and shares E&E Foods commitment to providing the best Alaska seafood products while maintaining a sustainable fishery.

The ship has spent the winter in Seattle getting a new production facility and will head north to Alaska in May. The new corporation, Cape Greig, LLC, is based in Seattle, Washington.
