E&E Foods, Inc. Purchases Inlet Fish Producers

3/12/2020 Seattle, Washington – E&E Foods, Inc. is pleased to announce that they have entered into an agreement with North Pacific Seafoods, Inc. (NPSI) to purchase the Inlet Fish Producers (IFP) assets. E&E Foods is proud to be able to increase its presence in Cook Inlet and expansion into the Prince William Sound region. The combined operations and the reach of the Pacific Star Seafoods plant as well as the Inlet facilities will provide expanded coverage, efficiencies and production capacity for E&E and our fishers.

E&E has been operating in the Seattle area since 1932 and has a large presence in Alaska with shoreside plants in Kenai (Pacific Star Seafoods), Egegik (Coffee Point Seafoods) and Yakutat (Yakutat Seafoods), a floating processor (Cape Greig) in Bristol Bay and Kotzebue and value-added plants in Renton, WA and Federal Way, WA.

“E&E Foods is a growth-oriented company and we are delighted to have Inlet Fish Producers join our Pacific Star family in Kenai. Their fishers, products and manufacturing capacity will complement our business lines that include expertise in fresh and frozen seafood, processing, trading, exporting, importing, and brokering” reported Ken Ng, COO of E&E Foods.

“We are pleased to be selling our IFP assets to E&E Foods, a company with deep roots in both Alaska and the Pacific Northwest,” said Dave Hambleton, President and COO of NPSI. “We appreciate the hard work and dedication of all IFP employees and the fishing fleet and we’ll work diligently to facilitate a smooth transition going forward. We are confident the team at E&E Foods will continue with our tradition of providing stable fishing opportunity and fantastic employment for local employees.”

This acquisition is anticipated to be completed well ahead of the 2020 salmon season.
